Accreditation is simpler than you think - we can take you through the whole process

First of all we recommend carrying out a Gap analysis, this allows you to take a look at your existing processes in a way that allows you to review them in line with the standard. This process will help identify any gaps that may exist.

Once identified, the creation of an implementation plan will identify the timescales and resources required to successfully implement the standard.

It will be necessary to document your internal processes and procedures in adherence to ISO 22222. Once written, the procedures will need to be successfully implemented and adopted. If for any reason you need help with the implementation of the new procedures, regional training courses will be available to assist you.

Standards International will then carry out your pre-assessment. This gives us the opportunity to check that the necessary areas have been implemented effectively and are compliant to the standard.

Assessment to ISO 22222 is based on competency and compliance to the standard and comes in many forms – revision and exams is not one of them. Assessments in general give the assessor the opportunity to break down each area of the standard to make sure that you can demonstrate through a variety of methods including case studies and on the job observation; knowledge, understanding, application and skill.

The outcome of the pre assessment will be presented in a report. The report may have identified areas that the assessor believes to require further development. If this is the case, the recommendations for improvement will be made clear. Providing that the recommendations have satisfactorily been completed, an assessment date is arranged with Standards International.

On the basis that you fully comply with the requirements of ISO 22222, you will be awarded the international quality standard for Financial Planners, ISO 22222:2005.

Standards International provide the following services to support your route to registration:

• Training/workshops
• Gap analysis
• Pre-assessment
• Assessment

Once you have successfully been certified, you will then be assessed annually to ensure you continue to comply with ISO 22222 and that you are continually improving your processes and service to clients.
